Troubleshooting Scan Issues
Page won’t unlock? Fix common Glimp scanning problems with lighting, focus, and page tips.
Most scan issues are environmental. Work through this checklist before assuming something is wrong with the print.
Quick fixes
- Confirm you’re using the Glimp app and an up-to-date version.
- Move to brighter, even lighting and reduce glare.
- Hold steady and make sure the target photo fills most of the viewfinder.
- Gently flatten the page; avoid scanning a strongly curved spread.
- Try a different angle or a little more distance.
Still stuck?
Check that the page actually has a video attached in your original design (not every page is interactive). If a specific page never unlocks, email support@glimp.app with your order details and a photo of the page under normal light — we’ll help.
